How to test your tracking setup

Step by step guide on how to make sure your One Tag setup works properly

  1. Preview and Debug in GTM:
    1. Use the GTM “Preview” mode to test your tag setup before publishing.
    2. Navigate to the pages where your tag should fire and ensure the tag is firing correctly.
  2. Check API Response:
    1. Monitor the API response in your browser’s developer console to ensure that the conversion data is being sent and received correctly.
    2. Look for success status codes (e.g., 200) to confirm the data is being processed without errors.
  3. Verify in Platforms’ Dashboards:

For Meta

    • Use the “Test Events” tool in the Meta Events Manager to manually send test events and verify they are received.
    • Input the Test code in the "FB Test event code" field on Adsmurai One Tag's GTM tag.
