You can now connect your Optimized Feeds directly to Meta using their official API, streamlining the process and ensuring a more stable and automated integration.
What are the benefits?
With this new functionality, your product catalogs will be automatically registered, updated, and synced whenever changes are detected in the data source.
This is especially useful if:
- Your catalog changes frequently (e.g. stock or prices).
- You’re preparing for key retail moments like sales or promotional campaigns.
How does it work?
To use this integration, you’ll need to have admin access to your Meta account, as connecting via API creates a new catalog container within Meta Commerce Manager.
Once that requirement is met, just follow these steps:
- Create a new Optimized Feed as you normally would.
- During setup, connect your Meta account and check the box labeled “Link to the Meta Commerce Manager API.
- Continue with the feed setup: segmentations, optimizations, etc.
- When everything is ready, save the feed.
Pro Tip: Avoid segmenting your Meta catalog. Doing so may lower your Pixel’s Match Rate, which can negatively impact your campaign performance.
After saving, a new catalog container will be automatically created in Meta, hosting your Optimized Feed via API connection.
Each connection currently creates a new container in Meta.
So far, it is not possible to link an Optimized Feed to an existing container.
How do you know it’s connected?
Once the connection is active, you’ll see the Meta API connection icon highlighted in blue. That’s your confirmation that everything is working properly.
